Zé Luis' debut album as a solo artist, Guarani Banana (Z L Music NY-Ingrooves), brings Brazilian flair to his collection of songs. 12 originals, one standard by Jobim, infusing a sense of sophisticated pop and jazz to a recording that appeals to both world music and jazz fans.
Zé Luis has reassumed his roots with this newly released project. It is a conceptual CD based on Zé Luis' experiences with the "tropicalists" Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Gal Costa. Featuring: Paulo Braga, Dom Um Rom‹o, Dom Salvador, Mark Soskin, David Finck, Romero Lubambo, Mitch Stein, Paul Meyers, Arthur Lipner, Marcos Rogozinski, Maœcha Adnet, Cidinho Teixeira and Mauro Refosco.
