Beginning
(1980-1981)
This is Garage a Fusion Quintet formed by myself, Claudio Infante and Paulo Soledade. After the breakup of Semente we were trying something different. So, we picked Antonio Santana for the bass, he now lives in Los Angeles, and Fernando Moura on the keys, he works as a producer and has played with Marisa Monte and many others. This is me, Zezé and Guilherme Araujo in Hanover, Germany in 1981, Guilherme was her manager, as well as Luis Medloia's, Caetano Velosos and others that I worked with later on.
Ritchie. I recorded one of the biggest hits in Brazilian hitory with this English singer. The song Menina Veneno (Poison Girl) lyrics composed by Bernardo Vilhena (one of my best friends) and Ritchie, it was recorded in 1981.
By the end of 1981 things had changed a lot, I was working steady in the music business, the band I had formed with my friends was stronger in its second formation. The bass player was a new sensation on the Rio scene Artur Maia and the new keyboard player Lulú Martin, had just arrived from Berklee School of Music.
