Semente (Seed) was a development of “Claudio Nucci & Pessoal Levanta”, it was a very influential musical group in Rio’s scene in the late seventies. “From left: On the bike, Claudio Infante, siting, Zé Luis, Marcio Resende, Claudio Nucci, Tet Marachiolo, Paulo Soledade Filho and Mario Adnet.” Rio 1977

Claudio Nucci and Me pictured in a Semente’s concert in 1979. We were together all the time playing, composing or listening to Hermeto Pascoal,, Milton Nascimento, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Steve Wonder, Jeff Beck etc... Right after that Claudio had a break with a group called “Boca Livre” achieving golden sales. We e-mail each other and talk all the time. He is, in my opinion, one of the best composers I’ve ever met

Paulo Moura is legendary clarinet and saxophone player born in Brazil. He was my teacher at Villa Lobos Institute from 1979 to 1981.
